Testament of a lifetime

There’s nothing more soothing and gratifying for someone like me than, leaning on a firm backed chair with scanty but, heart-pleasing rain drops around and a free mind to write. It’s been a while since, I penned down some electronic words through my crammed psyche. Sometimes, it’s just that you are busy with absolutely a naught and so tend to sidekick your work. Yeah, it’s weird but so, it is true. People go into a nervous breakdown or are utterly frustrated just for nothing. It is this trait of the ordinary people like us that I am startled of numerous times.

We never get what you want ’cause, the wants themselves are interminable. Misery grows obtainable from here and so does all the further despair. I mean this is all rational, reasonable. But, what about the status quo when there’s a nix? When people are just unaware of any situational gloom? Is there nothing as the term neutral? I believe anguish, in itself is a complete and definite demarcation. The absence of happiness merely lets depression to stay! Either we are so hooked to sentiments that we have forgot the expression – inert nature or there was no such entity in real-world existence. For most of the stuff one thing turns as the foundation and the other as a measly concealment. As the absence of light is darkness but not vice-versa. For the others I am really exasperating to score some answers. But, what we see for almost everything from place to place is the things we contemplate as immoral lay the foundation. Be it darkness or devilry or stupidity, as a matter of fact. Then the same lets me think, why not sorrow? If a man spends hefty stretch with sorrow obviously, frustration and nervous breakdown era will be the next cases to ponder upon.

I have just completed my graduation and pursued a four-year long professional course of engineering. During this extensive period of time I was lurching around many breeds of people. Some of them were friends, just acquaintances, some were those people who taught me, others were complete strangers. The enquiry ascended when some of these were discouraged without any intention whatsoever. Human brain is the most vulnerable tool to play with and also most interesting. You may never know where’s the frontier laid and once traversed over, it’s a really harsh route to get back. Also, you never know what hidden valuable assets are awaiting. It’s a composed bet as such. So, it was then confronting with a dispirited soul I struck golden rule of despair. Absence of pleasure is dejection. I have myself experienced this thought and I am sure most of you also have. Then comes even a giant problem altogether, why does all the wicked affairs form the base? Why isn’t there light in this universe and to form blackness requires distinct means? Why can’t we be joyful always if we are not unhappy? Why is not everyone downright clever at all stuff if he’s not dismal?

People tend to believe always something that’s imparted on their minds historically. It’s actually tough to acquire them out of those prejudices even if they are false. Some of them never have faith in other perspectives and others don’t want to. A very trivial expanse of folks are actually liberal to follow that is veracious. These are the only individuals I truly accept might be impersonal when it comes to emotions. Only societies whom can deliberate and act without restrictions may be the ones those are neutral! Today, it’s pretty hard to find such personalities. We certainly don’t want to come out of our comfort zones and so remain blue and anxious all the time. I believe the key to alter the underpinning is a free will.

On approaching the Pandora’s Box

Me at the backstage of a drama

Ahhh… Finally, it’s happening! My all new second blog post right from Microsoft Word 2013. Also, I have started to admire Microsoft for such a wonderful yet sober OS – Windows 8! Quiet Cool stuff. I never thought my first assay with blogs would make such drastic revelations about me and more justly, about those people who hover around me. Well, it was very interesting to know the real ideologies working in my ambience! Nevertheless, I wasn’t astonished when it met with variedly mixed responses; right from excellent to hogwash, even some of them stated it outrageous! Yes, as it’s said, “Many minds, many thoughts” so do I appreciate and respect all the persuasions fired at me with adjudged serenity. I don’t want to assign some countdown or start some evaluation here or even make some stupefy justifications. My motive is simple and pure; express myself freely without any bounds!

A week is passed since I wrote about my obsession. This week was a time when the weather was all and indolent. Everything seemed so arid that even wind around me seemed a lot nervous. Then, it was the perfect time for some analysis about THE LIFE itself (the best thing we can do amongst all is analysis and talk and only analysis and only talk)! I was met with some startling facts and insights of our world which we already know but tend ourselves out of belief! (I know you are smelling some saintly, philosophical spoof now 😉 but, let’s walk ahead)

A curious mind is the only way to attain knowledge on this globe (and I firmly believe if it does exist then, elsewhere too). If it was not for just a curiosity to pursue my hobby of writing I would never have had the intellection for this very web log! Right since the childhood the major part of our behavior and teachings is our ever questioning mind. A man seldom knows it if he doesn’t want to know it. It was for this inquiring mind of Pandora only that man was blessed with all the miseries of life. The two brilliant and crippled sides of an ever prying mind are knowledge and misery! Indeed, life is never itself perfect, we must rigorously drill it to be and then, we may, at some point of time be excellent. When I thought over the immense reasons of being screwing up our lives and got to the core of them, I found only one real descendent of the most of them – a curious mind! Why did I hurt my friend? – The only speculation to find out his deep buried secrets. Why was I not good at my work? – Well, the lack of curiosity for how things work (and also over curiosity for some unnecessary stuff!). On the brighter side, why do we succeed? – The answer comes the same as curiosity but with all the will and efforts for the quest.

I believe while growing up, being adults we have lost that ever wondering mind, that special soul which always inquires and challenges the firm conventions. We are either too stubborn to ask or too gimpy to set ourselves for a hunt. “A curious student is a teacher’s delight”. Well, ting-tong wake up, reality check – nature’s (or life itself) a teacher and we are students; where the hell is our nosey self? I think, most of us lost it while growing up as frail humans. We want to fly but don’t want to try. We just don’t have enough legitimate doubts for life those will be answered so we could prosper. Well, some of us do have a really astonishing questionnaire but, then no stringent intent for its pursuit.

I really appreciate my brother when he asks me so many weird questions (obviously, of which I rarely know answers). He reminds me some days ago I was the same and when I used to get answer after much hold I used to be really happy (and not the fake smile which I sometimes give to myself now). It’s like all over again, I will be graduated soon, just a matter of some months. And then, it will begin. An all new world will merely sprout from nowhere for me and alas! I will be once again trying to switch myself on sides, trying to get accustomed to the novel environment and all that we all do when we set a foot in a bigger lake. It’s all but curious to me at present. I must choose the righteous path of the two – happiness or misery!

If and all we get to wretchedness, we ought to cure it in time. Being miserable for a prolonged time makes us more of a psychopath. We believe others are far superior to us and then it all gets to ourselves. We tend to lose our self-assurance, then it gets to our very nature. In short, we are doomed! Everybody, in his life has been or will be suffering because we are prone to misery (if you haven’t been ever, I advise you to diagnose yourself with a good physicist instantly ;-)). I have been miserable a few times in my life (but, don’t worry didn’t go on to being a sociopath) and let me tell you it was terrible. You just don’t feel it at that moment but, later on when you get on with life it’s just freakishly embarrassing to remember those days!

I conceive that the most wonderful gift by God to us is the ability to cure ourselves with time. Whatever or however huge may be the woe we can still overcome it with some endeavors and I unwaveringly have faith in this. It’s all and precisely in our mind so, why not take it out with a fight instead of just contemplating. I want to be strong and travel long really long. So, let the miseries come I won’t stop taking exceptions to the established!

I am still thinking (now for too long) for a happening signature at the end of every post but, all in vain as of yet. Let it come to me gradually. So, for today simply, Signing Off!

Obsessing with an Obsessive Inc.

ImageMe with my original iPhone (box)!

Well, the first of my posts and i thought very hard on the view I wanted to express and then i realized why to make a big deal out of it? It’s simply the space to rectify my life and all the things I believe in and I live for. It’s just a tiny blog!

Nowadays, people are (I sincerely feel) irritated with my obsession for an organization and with the above photograph you too would have guessed it, it’s Apple, Inc.; termed as the pioneer of innovations, home to the brightest of human brains on the planet and what not. I got the first glimpse of my obsession when I just happen to read the Stanford graduation day address of Mr. Steve Jobs in our curriculum and since then God knows it’s going leaps and bounds! His own life itself is grand and so does the Corporation he once established in his humble garage. As we all know, there were really huge dispositions during his life which could easily push a mediocre in delirium but, he stood and fought with his destiny. This is probably the best of all the reasons why I admire him so much.

Then comes the company itself. The four things mainly, Mac, iPod, the (stunning) iPhone and the (gorgeous) iPad; says it all. When computers were something only professionals or highly trained and skilled personnel only could take care of, Mac had a lion’s share in bringing them to the commons (a great coincidence – Mac’s latest OS is itself named Mountain Lion). When people were tired of ripping music from a hundred destinations into something big as cassettes; came the iPod (and simultaneously iTunes) which then revolutionized the way people listen music and ultimately revived the music industry’s gross by setting the digital music downloads standard. Mobiles were not meant to be just the devices to call or text but, to live for and yes, the iPhone paved way for a storm known to be smartphones. It just did not change the way people communicate but the way people live, their entire lifestyle! It was then the time for iPads. No one ever thought something like tablets could ever exist in real world just a few years before but, iPad made it happen and with sheer innovation on it’s back enjoys the 50 million+ purchase club! I just keep wondering one organization with just 37 years in existence could do so much!

I have an Intel PC with windows 8 installed but then, I too have a Mac (10.8 Mountain Lion) in Virtual Box. Never was I so enthusiastic for anything but to install Mac on a non-Apple hardware! It took me whooping 20 days to figure out the right way (with right tools) and 2 more days to actually get it running! “When you work hard enough for something to happen, it just does.” Nevertheless, the sense of achievement grows with everyday and every moment. Macintosh OS is something you will ever get amused by it’s simplicity yet the robustness! What I like the most there is, you don’t need to go into something baffling, it just happens with ease. What Apple did is combining simplicity with something extra-ordinary. That’s the reason why PCs are falling short of their market not only in US but worldwide as compared to Mac’s growth. It’s ordinary human tendency to go for the things which are fancy yet usable to the core and this is what exactly Mac has achieved over the years. I truly believe what Madonna did to the Pop music years ago is what Mac did to computers. The degree of excellence is difficult to match but Mac is one of the strong reasons why most of the OS makers are pressed hard to actually think for innovative yet simple any easy usage for the users of their computers. Mac has indeed changed the entire computer industry!

My first encounter with an iPod was at a store where I purchased a Pen drive and one of my friends took a 1-GB tiny looking white device with earphones. Well, I just borrowed the iPod from him that night and vola! here I was once again amazed with the exceptional sound quality and build from the same Inc.! Then again I learned about the iTunes and subsequent knowledge. The music industry was on it’s humble knees and the popularity of Walkman, cassette players and radio was at an all-time low. Piracy was killing it (and today too). With something non-Apple area (at that time they were Apple Computers, Inc.) Apple smelled a huge potential market and jumped right onto it. It not only just increased the (legitimate) music sales but people found it cushy and fancy to get a tiny device in their pocket and run, work, hum and what not with earphones on! It revived the music itself and then came with it the other amazing products in line. iPod was one of the reasons why we got so many mp3-playing products and the conceptions thereafter!

I still remember my iPhone encounter – a big electronics store at my district place. It was for display and I was then stunned! I frankly admit, I preoccupy more no other Apple merchandise than the super awesome iPhone (ignore the adjectives and exclamations if you wish)! The story of I owning an iPhone is sensational altogether (but that, sometime later). It took me a whole of two extremely struggling months to own the original iPhone (and let me tell you, it’s worth it)! It’s touch, it’s build, it’s entire structure (I won’t go into technical specs) is just divine! 2007 was the year when the original iPhone was released and today we just have the 6th device coming out of their kitty still making them one of the top three organizations of the world (by market value)! iPhone not only just revolutionized the integral mobile phone manufacture but also public lifestyle and public mindsets – and this is the mightiest of all success of Apple! With the success of iOS came numerous other OS but, frankly they still can’t match the simplicity and usability provided by the iOS (may be I am biased to your phone but, it’s a fact)! The touch, the apps, the pinching, the thread messaging, the dashboard icons, the one-stop app store (and the list goes on); all the things you witness in today’s (so-called) smartphones are the gift of Apple (more specifically the iOS and the iPhone)! Why does each and every high end smartphone released is first compared to an iPhone only? Why does enterprises and the media review everything in comparison to Apple only? The answers are self-explanatory! Obviously, we will compare coming ware with the best available thing in market. Although, inadvertently but, we always give Apple the edge over all. The iPhone into market is the sole reason why phone manufacturers are really trying to speed up some original innovation day after day!

I really got my hands onto an iPad when one of my good friends purchased it (from an Apple store). The genre of tablets was actually realized by Apple with the iPad! People started to do almost everything from watching movies to shopping, from banking to basic mathematics on the iPad! An opinion is now that things like reading (news or novels), accessing web and even education will soon be the sole proprietary of tablets (more share by iPad)! With the advent of 100s of tablets in market the worldwide internet share of iPad (among tablet traffic) is a whooping 91%! iPad is just the combination of computer complexity and mobile ease and the same thing made tablets grow so quickly! iPad is one device which has again proved that Apple is nothing but maestro!

Keeping away all the adorned accomplishments by Apple why do I admire an organization so much? It’s often severely criticized for huge profit margins, bad environmental policies and sturdy labor practices. The vital thing which I like is stamped there below their logo always “Think Different.”! May it be Mac or iPod or iPhone or even iPad in that case, the organization took an area that was raw and unconquered and with only drastic innovative capabilities turned it into magic and shiny gold; which was then invaded by infinite others! The company has seen a galore of ups and downs – their patron was thrown out (and taken back), once there were huge losses, now there are 1000 like lawsuits against them in every corner of the planet but, two things are rock steadily obsessive – innovation and the determination to be numero uno whatever they take to! Yes, they are obsessed for the best!
